Trans-Pecos Festival workshop - Marfa Light Fabric Cyanotypes - SATURDAY

This session is open to all gender identities 16 and up. Materials and tools will be provided.
Come create a decorative wall hanging, prayer flag or tea towel using the magical environment of Marfa and the greatest of sources, The Sun. A two hour class going back to the very basic of photography, in the deep tone of Blue, painting with the light of this mythical landscape, imprinting found objects and drawings into fabric to be embellished with beads and paint as desired.
- Teruko Nimura is an Austin based artist who creates mixed media installations and sculptures exploring ideas of collective efforts, Asian customs, and personal history using ceramics, plaster, fabric, paper, wax, wood, and other materials.
- Tahila Shireem Chavez Mintz is a documentary photographer, videographer and consultant experienced in working for non-profit organizations. Her focus is educational uplift, cross cultural respect and bridge building.
